Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto have reaffirmed their commitment to increasing bilateral trade to $10 billion by 2026 through a preferential trade agreement and enhanced economic partnership.
According to a joint statement released by both nations and reported by Turkey’s Directorate of Communications, the leaders emphasized the importance of cooperation in trade, defense, healthcare, energy, and infrastructure, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ankara and Jakarta.
This agreement presents new opportunities for investors, particularly in real estate, infrastructure, and affordable housing. Turkey has expressed its willingness to contribute to housing projects in Indonesia, reinforcing trade and investment ties between the two countries.
The statement also highlighted the need to strengthen cultural, educational, and tourism relations, alongside enhancing political and strategic cooperation on regional and international platforms.
