In a surprising shift in weather conditions, Turkey is bracing for a cold front set to arrive this Friday, bringing a significant temperature drop and snowfall in 23 provinces, especially in the eastern regions.
This comes after a period of mild spring weather, and experts suggest it might be the last cold wave before the arrival of summer, according to the Turkish news source Türkiye Acil.
The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) warns that temperatures may dip below freezing in several areas, especially at night, which could impact daily life.
Provinces expecting snow include: Bilecik, Kütahya, Uşak, Eskişehir, Afyonkarahisar, Bolu, Karabük, Ankara, Çankırı, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Nevşehir, Kayseri, Yozgat,
Kastamonu, Sivas, Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Erzincan, Erzurum, Ardahan, Kars, and Bitlis.
