The city of İnegöl, located in Bursa, Turkey, has emerged as a key investment hub for foreigners in the furniture sector, attracting a growing number of investors contributing to both production and exports. According to the President of the İnegöl Chamber of Carpenters and Furniture Manufacturers, Özcan Ayhan, among the 1,800 chamber members, 70 are foreign investors, highlighting the city's strong appeal to international entrepreneurs. As a major furniture manufacturing and export center, İnegöl is home to over 4,000 workshops and factories, providing employment opportunities for nearly 120,000 people, significantly supported by foreign investments from countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and Russia. Official chamber data reveals that the 70 registered foreign companies generate annual exports exceeding $3.5 million, primarily reaching the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, with recent expansion into the U.S. market. Ayhan emphasized that İnegöl offers an attractive investment climate, enabling foreign entrepreneurs to leverage the İnegöl brand to easily connect with customers. In an effort to bolster global expansion, the city has organized a furniture exhibition in the United States for the past two years, with 45 companies participating in the latest edition held in February.
