And real estate cuts in Turkey
The Istanbul Governorate has announced the launch of the "Digital Istanbul" project, which aims to offer an innovative tourist experience by exploring the city's cultural and historical treasures through modern technologies. Details of the project were revealed during an official meeting at the Istanbul Financial Center, attended by the city governor and several officials.
The project seeks to provide accurate and comprehensive information about cultural and tourist landmarks to visitors through smart boards equipped with QR code technology. This allows visitors to easily access information using their smartphones. Currently, the project includes over 200 mosques and tourist sites, with plans to expand it to cover all landmarks in the city by the end of the year.
One of the project's key features is the provision of information in five different languages: Arabic, Turkish, English, German, and Russian. This diversity aims to meet the needs of the 17 million tourists visiting annually.
The meeting included prominent figures from government agencies and banks, such as Ziraat Bank, highlighting the collaboration between the public and private sectors in supporting this initiative.
